Does it work on a tablet on site?
Yes. Trowli is designed for tablets on site. The background is a warm stone colour rather than bright white, so it's easier to read outdoors. Mark a project "Keep available offline" before you set off and you can open it without signal.
Will the customer see my costs and margin?
No. Your costs and margin are only shown to you. Tap "Prices hidden" when you hand the tablet over, and the quote the customer receives shows totals for each area, not the price of each material.
Where do the material prices come from?
You start with a set of starter prices, and Trowli flags any line still using one so you can check it before sending. Swap in your own merchant prices whenever you like. On Trowli Managed, send us your supplier price lists and we'll load them for you.
I'm not great with computers. Will I get on with it?
Trowli uses the words you already use: enquiries, quote visits, buy lists, needs a nudge. If you can draw a rectangle with your finger, you can draw a plan. Managed customers also get training sessions for the whole team.
What happens to my customers' details?
Your data stays yours. Customer details sit with each project, and you can export or anonymise a customer's personal information from their project at any time.
Which trades is Trowli for?
Trades that price jobs from measurements. Landscaping, driveways, patios, fencing and decking are ready now. Builders doing extensions, walls and garden rooms can join early access, and roofing, plastering and flooring are next. Work priced mostly by points and small parts, like electrics and plumbing, isn't a good fit yet. If you're not sure, ask us.
